At the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), we are shaping the move to next-generation farming in African, Caribbean and Pacific countries by fostering innovation with technology and sharing actionable knowledge.

CTA is a joint international institution of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States and the European Union (EU). CTA operates under the framework of the Cotonou Agreement and is funded by the EU.

To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.

Micro Aerial Projects

Micro Aerial Projects LLC was founded in 2008 as a registered company in the state of Florida in the United States of America. With deep roots in geodetic and cadastral surveying, Micro Aerial Projects continuously performs applied research in geo-spatial technology for improved solutions in surveying and mapping tasks. Micro Aerial Projects is currently supported by a grant from the Omidyar Network to build capacities in drone mapping and cadastral surveying in Ghana.

Sambus Geospatial Limited

Sambus Geospatial Limited (SGL) is a Geographic Information System (GIS) and mapping company which has been operating for over twenty (20) years.

As sole distributor of Esri, Harris Geospatial and Trimble with representation in Ghana, Nigeria, Gambia, Gabon and Liberia, we have gained substantial experience in the development and implementation of applications that integrates geospatial technologies and provide a range of geospatial solutions.

Our alliances with geospatial industry giants coupled with our many years of experience in the region has given us an edge in the implementation of location intelligence solutions to support and empower decision making across many industries.


The SERVIR WA program provides decision makers at all levels with more efficient and effective access to available geospatial resources from NASA and other earth observation sources. SERVIR WA also helps ensure that the information is made available to the local populations in a timely and comprehensible manner (space to village).

Expected Results
Improved capacity of West African institutions to function as regional service providers,
• Improved capacity of analysts and decision-makers to use earth observation information and geospatial information technologies;
• Improved awareness of and access to geospatial data, products, and tools;
• Increased provision of user-tailored geospatial data, products, and tools to inform decision-making, which are co-developed with regional and global partners;
• Increased impact of earth observation services on resilience and adaptation to climate change at all levels;
• Increased impact of geospatial science and technology on initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.


Woolpert, Inc. is a privately-held, 105 year-old company founded in Dayton, Ohio USA. Woolpert began as a land surveying company counting the Wright Brothers as among its first clients. Today Woolpert is a well-known architecture, engineering, and aerial mapping company serving a broad array of clients in the private and public sector at the federal, state and local levels.

Woolpert owns and operates a fleet of remote sensing aircraft and a variety of airborne and mobile mapping sensors. Woolpert can quickly assemble resources to execute national-scale mapping projects as well as site-scale surveys from airborne, terrestrial, and maritime –based platforms.
